This sketch was presented in the competition which took place in December 1830 for the decoration of the Chamber to the Chamber of Deputies. This is the Coutan painter who obtained the order.

This artpiece was painted by the romanticist master Ary Scheffer. Date and signature - the front, bottom left: "Ary Scheffer / 1830." was the artpiece's inscription. Ary Scheffer was a male painter, sculptor from the Netherlands, whose artistic style can primarily be attributed to Romanticism. The Dutch painter lived for 63 anys, nascut l'any 1795 a Dordrecht, Holanda Meridional, Països Baixos i va morir l'any 1858 a Argenteuil, Ile-de-France, França.
